Meeting held to introduce PhD program in private universities

DHAKA, March 19, 2025 (BSS) – University Grants Commission of 
Bangladesh (UGC) today held a meeting at its building here to 
determine the eligibility criteria for launching PhD programs 
in the private universities.

Presided over by Director of UGC's Private University 
Management Department Dr Md Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, UGC 
Chairman Syed Muhammed Abul Faiz addressed the meeting as the 
chief guest, a press release said.

UGC Member Professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain spoke as the 
special guest on the occasion.

Bangladesh Accreditation Council Member Professor Dr SM Kabir, 
Vice-Chancellors and nominated representatives of 22 public 
and private universities and various stakeholders participated 
in the event.
