KHULNA, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) is set to commemorate the 55th Independence and National Day on its campus in befitting manners. 

The programmes include discussion meeting, hoisting of the national flag, special prayers, and a drawing competition.
 
The day will commence with the hoisting of the national flag at sunrise atop the administrative building, the Vice-Chancellor's residence and all dormitories of the university. 

To mark the day, a children's drawing competition will be held at the university auditorium at 10am. Following this, the national flag will be raised on the 'Durbar Bangla' sculpture premises at 11am, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. 

The prize distribution ceremony for the drawing competition will begin at 11:15am and a discussion meeting will follow in the auditorium at 11:30am, serving as a platform for intellectual discourse and reflection on the significance of the day.

A doa mahfil will be organized at the university's central mosque after the Zuhar prayers, seeking the nation's prosperity and offering prayers for the souls of the martyrs. 

In a related announcement, KUET has declared its Eid holiday, which will begin on March 26 and end on April 15.
