RANGPUR, March 31, 2025 (BSS) - Special food was arranged for students staying in the residential halls on Eid day at the initiative of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali today.
 
Special food was provided in the morning and at noon for all the students who are staying on campus due to various circumstances during the ongoing Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.
 
The Vice-chancellor also exchanged Eid greetings with the students staying in the halls leaving their relatives and families and inquired about their affairs on Monday at noon.
 
At that time, Vice-chancellor's wife Md. Mahmuda Akhtar, University Registrar Dr. Harun-or Rashid, Proctor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman, Assistant Proctor Md. Abdullah-al-Mahbub and other persons concerned were present.
 
Apart from the students, special food was also arranged for the Ansar members working on the campus, police personnel at the outpost, and university security and cleaning staff.
 
Earlier, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were held at the university's central mosque at 8 am.
 
Teachers, students, officials and employees residing at the university participated in the Eid prayers.
 
After the prayers, sweets, including vermicelli, were arranged for the students of the residential halls in the morning.
