Mild heat wave sweeps over parts of country

DHAKA, April 3, 2025 (BSS) - Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of
Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Moulvibazar,
Rangamati, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue.

A release of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) stated this in
the morning.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise
slightly over the country, the release said.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, the
met office predicted.

Trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining area and seasonal low
lies over the South Bay, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 38.0 degree Celsius
at Rajshahi while today's minimum temperature 17.2 degree Celsius was
recorded at Tentulia upazila in Panchagarh district.
 
The sun sets at 06:16pm today and rises at 05:48am tomorrow in the capital.
