World Teachers Day observed in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS)- The World Teachers Day 2025 was observed here 
today aimed at reaching the light of education to every section of the 
society through the teachers.
 
To mark the day, the District Administration and District Education Office 
jointly brought out a rally from the premises of collectorate building. After 
parading some of the city streets, the rally ended at the same place followed 
by a discussion meeting at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner 
(DC) office.

This year, celebrations revolve around the theme "Recasting teaching as a 
collaborative profession", emphasising the transformative power of teamwork 
in education.

With DC Afia Akhter in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by 
Principal of Rajshahi College Professor Jahur Ali, Principal of New 
Government Degree College Prof Kalachand Shil, Additional DC Tuktuk Talukder 
and District Education Officer Abdul Wahab. 

Speakers at the event highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping 
students' lives, stressing that today's students are tomorrow's future.

They stated that if teachers educate students effectively, the country will 
prosper with a well-developed society.
