KHULNA, April 30, 2026 (BSS) - A three-day international photography exhibition titled ‘Engaging the Exposure Season-4’ began at the Khulna University campus this evening.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Pro-Vice Chancellor of Khulna University Professor Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan as the chief guest by cutting a ribbon at the courtyard of the university’s Fine Arts School around 5:30 pm.

Speaking at the inaugural function, he said photographs are not merely images, rather they carry artistic expressions and messages that require aesthetic insight to understand properly.

“A piece of artwork can often express thoughts and emotions that are difficult to convey through language,” he said.

He also said developed countries are advanced not only in technology but also in arts and literature, adding that such creative initiatives by students deserve encouragement.

The Pro-VC expressed hope that young photographers from home and abroad would continue to move forward through creative practices.

Dr Gazi Mizanur Rahman addressed the programme as special guest, while President of the Khulna University Photography Society Sakhawat Hossain delivered the welcome speech.

Among others, Head of the Drawing and Painting Discipline Dr. Md. Tariqat Islam, Associate Professor Mohammad Nazrul Islam, organising committee general secretary Minhaj Rahman, teachers, students, officers and employees were present at the event.

After the inauguration, the chief guest visited the exhibition.

A total of 40 photographs were selected for display from 3,654 submissions sent by students of different universities and colleges from home and abroad.

The exhibition will remain open to all at the Fine Arts School premises for three days.
