Adviser Sharmeen meets martyr Anas's family on Eid

DHAKA, April 3, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to the Ministries of Social Welfare, and Women and Children Affairs Sharmeen S Murshid met and exchanged Eid greetings with the parents of Shaheed Shahriar Khan Anas, a 16-year-old boy who was shot dead during the student-led July-August uprising, at his house in Gendaria in the city on Wednesday.

During the visit, she inquired about the family’s well-being, said a
press release.

Consoling Anas’s parents, the adviser said that the government has
extended a helping hand to those who were martyred and injured during the uprising.

“We will honor them like freedom fighters and arrangements will be made to pave their graves,” she added.

The parents of martyr Anas thanked the interim government for honoring their family with assistance and support.
