BMU provides treatment to over 2,000 patients during Eid vacation

DHAKA, April 4, 2025 (BSS)- The outdoor department of Bangladesh Medical
University (BMU), formerly known as BSMMU, provided medical care to over
2,000 patients during the Eid vacation from March 29 to April 2.
 
Apart from its indoor units and emergency department, the BMU doctors,
following the direction of its Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Shahinul
Alam, provided medical care each day from 10 am to 1 pm at the outdoor
department, a BMU press release said.
 
The VC himself, along with the pro-VC (administration) Prof Dr Md Abul Kalam
Azad, Director (hospital) Brigadier General Abu Noman Mohammad Mosleh Uddin,
Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Prof Dr Md
Anwarul Karim, Associate Professor Dr Syed Saimul Haque of the Department of
Pediatric Nephrology and Additional Director (hospital) Dr Hasnar Ahsan Sumon
visited the hospital, almost daily during the vacation and enquired about the
health care facility.
 
Meanwhile, an Eid reunion will be held at the BMU on April 5 from 8 am to
10.30 am at Shaheed Dr Milon Hall on Block-B of the hospital.
