DHAKA, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - Twenty dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, ten patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, four in Chattogram, one in Dhaka South, one in Dhaka North and four were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 1,997, while 14 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
