140,628 students to sit for SSC, equivalent exams under CEB

CHATTOGRAM, April 8, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 140,927 candidates will appear at 
the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under 
Chattogram Education Board (CEB) this year.
 
The examinations will begin on Thursday next.
 
Professor Parvaj Sazzad Chowdhury, controller of the CEB, told BSS that they 
have completed all preparations to hold the examinations in a peaceful 
atmosphere.
 
As many as 35,558 students from science group, 47,903 from humanities group 
and 57,466 students from business group, totaling 140,927 are scheduled to 
sit for the SSC and equivalent examinations, he added.
 
Of the total students-- 61,765 boys and 79,172 girls-- will participate in 
the examinations from 1,164 high schools through 219 centers.
 
Over 65 vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates have been 
formed to check any sorts of unfair means or irregularities.
