DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS)- Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, today said the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology will work jointly with the National University (NU) to implement technology-based initiatives, including the use of automated systems for the quick publication of various examination results.
Referring to a series of timely initiatives undertaken by the NU, including making ICT and English compulsory at the BA (honours) level, he said the ICT Division will provide all-out support to the National University for the successful implementation of these forward-looking initiatives.
Taiyeb made the remarks while addressing a workshop on development of online training content for teachers to implement ICT curriculum of the National University, at a resort in Maona, Gazipur.
Presided over by National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Amanullah, the workshop was addressed virtually by UNICEF Chief of Education Deepa Shankar as the special guest.
The three-day workshop was technically supported by the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme of the ICT Division and UNICEF Bangladesh.
Among others, a2i Project Director Md Abdur Rafiq, Policy Analyst Afzal Hossain Sarwar, Head of Programme Abdullah Al Fahim, and UNICEF Education Specialist Rafiqul Islam Sujon spoke on the occasion.
The workshop, conducted by Director of the National University’s Teacher Training Department Salma Parvin, was also addressed by Associate Professor of the NU Dr Najma Tara.
Discussions at the event focused on online training design and script writing, validation of training scripts and content, and finalization of online training modules.
ICT teachers from affiliated colleges under the National University, teacher trainers, online training design and content development experts, and officials from UNICEF Bangladesh, a2i, and the National University participated in the workshop.
