DHAKA, April 9, 2025 (BSS) – Twenty-nine dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, 11 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, seven in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka South, two in Khulna and three were admitted to different hospitals in Mymensingh division,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 2,026 while 14 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.
