Two dengue patients die, 22 hospitalized in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, April 12, 2025 (BSS) - Two dengue patients died and 22 were admitted to different 
hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, 10 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, two in Chattogram 
division, four in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North and three were admitted to different 
hospitals in Dhaka South,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health 
Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 2,074 while 16 deaths from dengue disease were reported this 
year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were 
reported, the statement added.
