26 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, April 13, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 26 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, 15 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, four in Chattogram, one in Dhaka South, four in Dhaka North City Corporation and one each in Khulna and Rajshahi division,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here this afternoon.

With these fresh cases, the total number of dengue cases rose to 2,100 while 16 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

According to the DGHS, in the last 24 hours, 27 patients were discharged from different hospitals. Among the total cases, 1, 983 patients have already been released. 

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1, 01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.
