DHAKA, April 18, 2025 (BSS) - Ten dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

With the new patients, a total of 2,192 dengue cases have been recorded this year.

"During the period, four patients were hospitalized in Chattogram division, one in Dhaka South City Corporation and three in Dhaka North City Corporation, and two in Mymensingh division," according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The mosquito-borne disease claimed at least 16 lives since January 1.

However, 11 dengue patients have been discharged from different hospitals in last 24 hours, totaling the discharged dengue patients at 2,068 this year.

However, 101,214 dengue cases were recorded in 2024, with 575 deaths from the disease.
