CHATTOGRAM, April 19, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) today observed World Hemophilia Day 2025 with a series of events aimed at raising awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

To mark the occasion, CMCH's Department of Hematology, in collaboration with the Hemophilia Society of Bangladesh, organized a colourful rally in the morning that paraded different streets of the city.

CMCH Principal Professor Dr. Mohammad Jashim Uddin and Hospital Director Brigadier General Mohammad Taslim Uddin jointly inaugurated the rally by releasing balloons at the CMCH campus.

Participants at the rally distributed informative leaflets to enhance public knowledge about the disease.

Following the rally, a brief gathering was held where speakers emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about hemophilia.

They highlighted the need for quality treatment and efforts to eliminate misconceptions about the disease in society.

"This initiative by CMCH is a significant step forward for patients with hemophilia and will contribute to better treatment and greater public understanding," they said.

Faculty members, officers, students, and staff of the Department of Hematology took part in the event with great enthusiasm.
