ICU launched at BMU's super specialized hospital

DHAKA, April 22, 2025 (BSS) - An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been launched at the Super Specialized Hospital of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) at a small-scale. 

BMU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the ICU today.

Dr Azad, in his speech, said that the incumbent administration is working relentlessly to make the super specialized hospital of Bangladesh Medical University fully functional.

He also expressed hope that the full-fledged ICU will be set up soon overcoming all obstacles and recruiting the necessary manpower soon. 

BMU registrar Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, super specialized hospital director and dean of BMU Dr Md Saif Ullah Munsi, Professor Dr Md Mostafa Kamal, Professor Dr AKM Akhtaruzzaman, Professor Dr Mantosh Kumar Mandol, Dr Md Shahidul Islam and Dr Mahabub, among others, were present at the event.
