DHAKA, April 23, 2025 (BSS)- Thirty eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 12 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, nine in Chattogram division, two in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North, seven in Dhaka South, three in Khulna and two were admitted to different hospitals in Mymensingh," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During this time, 20 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital.

The total number of case rose to 2,387, while 18 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
