35 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, April 28, 2025 (BSS) – Thirty-five dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.

“During the period, eight patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 11 in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North, seven in Dhaka South, one in Mymensingh and two were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 2,524 while 19 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

A total of 42 dengue patients have been released in the last 24 hours.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
