DHAKA, May 3, 2025(BSS) - The Administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Mohammad Azaz today said that the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Rajuk and MRT Project will work with DNCC to ease traffic congestion in the city.

He said this while visiting the Bikalpa July 36 Expressway (300 feet) at Pragati Sarani for opening three corridors from the second U-turn to United International University and Rampura via Aftabnagar.

He said, "If we can open these three corridors, then the traffic congestion of Pragati Sarani and its adjoining areas will reduce significantly."

It may be mentioned that the people's sufferings have been increased at various points of Pragati Sarani as the construction work of metro-rail project is going on.

The DNCC administrator instructed the authorities concerned to open some diversions and service lanes to solve this problem.

DNCC Chief Engineer Brigadier General Md Moin Uddin, Additional Chief Engineer Mohammad Arifur Rahman and other officers concerned were also present at that time.
