
KHULNA, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - Student Affairs Secretary of BNP's National
Executive Committee and nominated candidate for Khulna-3 constituency Rokibul Islam Bakul today said the nation who fails to honor its teachers can never rise high.
He emphasized that ensuring teachers' dignity is the foremost condition for
nurturing a knowledgeable and ideal generation.
"We expect good results from our students, but we often forget to value the
teachers who make those results possible. Now, that is the weakness of our
society," Bakul said.
The BNP leader made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest at a
reception ceremony for SSC 2025 meritorious students held at Phulbari Adarsha Secondary School premises under Khanjahan Ali Thana in the city.
Recollecting his student life, Bakul said, "We used to bow our heads in
respect when we saw our teachers. Their guidance and affection shaped us into who we are today. We must revive that culture of respect."
President of the Executive Committee of the School Abu Sayeed Howlader
presided over the event.
Among others, Md. Monirul Islam, Ayesha Siddika, Shahinul Islam, Abu Jafar,
Zahid Hossain, Arbindu Kumar Mondol and SA Rahim addressed the function.
Meritorious students from eight institutions-- Phulbari Adarsha Secondary
School, KUET Secondary School, Mirerdanga Alim Madrasa, Government Laboratory School, KDA School, RRF School, Teligati High School, and Sonali Jute Mills School-- were felicitated on the occasion.
