Rain likely across country, temperatures to remain steady

DHAKA, May 04, 2025 (BSS) - Rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast this in a release valid for 120 hours starting at 9:00am today. 

According to the forecast, the day and night temperatures across the country are expected to may remain nearly unchanged. 

Meanwhile, rainfall activity may decrease and the day and night temperatures could see a slight increase, according to the outlook for next five days.
 
The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 36.6 degrees Celsius at Baghabari under Rajshahi division, while the minimum temperature today was 21.5 degrees Celsius at Dimla under Rangpur division.

In Dhaka, the sun will set today at 6:29pm and rise tomorrow at 5:22am.
