Dr. ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, the coordinator of the D unit admission test, confirmed the turnout, noting that 1,828 out of 2,024 registered candidates took part in the exam.

The D unit comprises three departments under the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies-Al-Qur'an and Islamic Studies, Da'wah and Islamic Studies and Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies-as well as the Department of Arabic Language and Literature under the Faculty of Arts.

The one-hour admission test was conducted from 11 am to 12pm at the Rabindra Nazrul Arts Building and the Faculty Building.

Earlier, IU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah, along with Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. M Yeaqub Ali and Treasurer Prof Dr. Jahangir Alam, visited the exam centers during the test.

An admission aspirant, Ashraful Alam said BSS, 'From my childhood days, I have cherished a dream to study at this University. Today, I gave my best at the exam hall. The rest I left to Allah.'
