16th Thyroid Conference in city tomorrow

DHAKA, May 15, 2025 (BSS) – The 16th Thyroid Conference along with a scientific seminar on Thyroid, the Mother Gland, for specialist physicians, will be held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital tomorrow.

Bangladesh Institute of Thyroid Medicine and Imaging Research (BITMIR) and the Thyroid Center Ltd will jointly organize it, a press release said here today.

Starting on 8.30 AM, it will continue till 6.00 PM, the release added.

Noted professors and physicians of the country will present their papers at the conference.

The conference will discuss topics ranging from Pathophysiology to Intervention. 

Besides, a speech will be given on Ultrasound Intervention there. 

A total of 250 distinguished professors, doctors and researchers from all over the country will be present at the event.

Apart from this conference, the two-day 7th Thyroid Fair-2025 will commence at Suvastu Ittehad Square on road number 5 in capital’s Dhanmondi-5 on May 22.

The fair will continue till May 24 and remain open from 11 am to 3 pm every day.

Professor Dr A K M Fazlul Bari, Nuclear Medicine and Thyroid Specialist, Director and Head of Department at National Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Science (NINMAS) of Bangladesh Medical University, will inaugurate the fair.

Renowned doctors of the country, print and electronic media members will also be present at the event.

Free and low-cost treatment will be provided to about 3,000 patients during the three-day Thyroid Fair.
