DMP files 1,951 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,951 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during May 26 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today. 

The DMP release said that 259 motor vehicles were dumped and 152 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
