US congratulates nationalist Nawrocki on Poland election win

WASHINGTON, June 3, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday congratulated Polish nationalist Karol Nawrocki -- a known fan of US President Donald Trump -- on his win in Poland's presidential election.

"The Polish people have spoken and support a stronger military and securing their borders," Rubio said in a statement, adding that he looks forward "to working closely with President-elect Nawrocki and Poland's government to further our shared priorities."
