DHAKA, June 3, 2025 (BSS)- To enhance security during the upcoming Eid-ul-
Azha holidays, the Dhaka University (DU) will close its all academic and
administrative activities from June 4 to June 14.

The decision on security arrangements came from a joint meeting between
university authorities and representatives from the National Security
Intelligence (NSI) and the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said a press
release here today.

Each entry point to the university-including Shahabag, Nilkhet, Palashi, Doel
Chattar, Udayan, and Officer Tower of the university will have two armed
police officers stationed alongside the Proctors' mobile security teams, it
added.

Additionally, patrolling across the campus area will be intensified with the
support of the Bangladesh Army.

The Directorate of Military Operations at Army Headquarters has been
requested to take necessary action in this regard.
