DHAKA, June 3, 2025 (BSS) – Cautionary measures have been taken in bordering areas to prevent smuggling of raw hides of the sacrificial animal on the Eid-ul-Azha.

Each Deputy Commissioner has been instructed to organize awareness meetings with the supervisors of orphanages, Lillah boarding houses, and madrasas regarding the collection, preservation, and transportation of raw hides.

From midday on Eid day, a special team from the district administration will be deployed in each district to monitor the collection and preservation of hides at madrasas, mosques, orphanages, and other designated locations.

To assist the institutions in properly preserving raw hides, 30,000 metric tons of salt will be distributed free of cost to orphanages, Lillah boarding houses, and madrasas across the country.
