DHAKA, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - Five Eid-ul-Azha congregations will be held tomorrow at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this year, as ever.

The congregational prayers will be held at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, and 10:45 am, according to the Islamic Foundation press release.

Dr Khalilur Rahman Madani will lead the first jamaat at 7:00 am.

The second Jamaat will be conducted by Dr Mawlana Abu Saleh Patwary at 8:00 am, while the third, scheduled for 9:00 am, will be led by Dr Mushtaque Ahmad.

Mufti M Abdullah will lead the fourth jamaat at 10:00 am, followed by the fifth jamaat at 10:45 am, which will be conducted by Mawlana Mohammad Noor Uddin.

If any designated Imam is unable to attend, Mawlana Muhammad Shahidul Islam will lead the respective congregation.

This year, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Bangladesh on June 7.

It is one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims, marked by ritual animal sacrifice.

Since the new moon of Zilhajj was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, Eid-ul-Azha will be observed there on Jun 6, with Hajj taking place on Jun 5.

Eid in Bangladesh is typically celebrated a day after it is observed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
