DHAKA, June 15, 2025 (BSS) -Mostafa Mohsin Montu, veteran politician, freedom fighter and President of Gono Forum, passed away while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital this afternoon.
He was 80.
Montu breathed his last at 5:10 pm, confirmed Mahmud Ullah Madhu, a central leader of Gono Forum.
His namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) will be held at 9:00 pm following the Isha prayers at the Katabon Dhal Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque in the capital.
A prominent figure in Bangladesh's political landscape, Montu was widely respected for his contributions during the country's Liberation War and his long-standing commitment to democratic values.
