Writers’ conference in Naogaon on July 17-18

DHAKA, June 18, 2025 (BSS)- A two-day long writers’ conference will be held in Naogaon from on June 17-18.

Local art and cultural organization Naogaon Sahitya Parishad for the fourth times will organize conference where Kanhapa Sahitya Prize will be awarded.

General secretary of the sahitya parishad and Charyapad researcher Ashraful Nayan said the decision of the conference was finalized in a meeting of the advisory council and executive committee of the sahitya parishad today with poet and story writer Habib Ratan in the chair.

Among others, poet and researcher Barendra Farid, chief executive of Barendra Radio Mahfuz Faruk, editor of literary paper Salok Anindo Tuhin, editor of Rupantar Rabiul Mahmud, editor of Pushpa Keton Khorshed Alam Raju, news editor of Projanmer Alo Abu Reza, poet Rimon Morshed and Amina Debnath were present.

Poets from different parts of the country and Naogaon district will join the conference.

A poet, a novelist and a small newspaper editor will be awarded Kanhapa Sahittya prize in the conference, he added.
