One dengue patient dies, 329 hospitalised in last 24hrs

DHAKA, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died and 329 patients have 
been hospitalised in the country during the last 24 hours till this morning. 

"During the period, 136 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 64 
in Chattogram, 38 in Dhaka division, 21 in Dhaka North City Corporation 
(DNCC), 43 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 15 in Khulna, two in 
Mymensingh and 10 were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi division," 
said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services 
(DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 7,758 while 32 deaths from dengue, the 
mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1, 01,214, while 575 deaths from 
dengue disease were reported, the release added.
