13 new Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 26, 2025 (BSS) – The port city has reported 13 more Covid-19 cases out of 193 tests conducted in the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram has reached 112 in the past 18 days, according to Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram, who spoke to BSS.

Dr. Jahangir Alam mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being conducted in 12 different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 91 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals here.

Out of the total 112 corona infected people, 101 are residents of the port city and the remaining 11 are residents of different upazilas. So far, six persons have died in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department is ready to prevent the spread of corona infection.  

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
