Two dengue patients die in last 24hrs

DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS) - Two dengue patients died and 195 have been 
hospitalized across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 74 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division while 
eight were hospitalized in Chattogram, 30 in Dhaka division, 28 in Dhaka 
North City Corporation (DNCC), 32 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), two 
in Mymensingh, 18 in Rajshahi and three were admitted to different hospitals 
in Sylhet division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General 
of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 9,065 while 38 deaths from dengue, the 
mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the same period, 246 patients were discharged from different hospitals 
across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from 
the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
