12 more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 27, 2025 (BSS) - The port city has reported 12 new Covid-19 cases out of 91 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram has reached 124 in the past 19 days, according to Dr Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram.

Dr Jahangir Alam mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being conducted in 12 different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

Currently, 93 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals here.Out of the total 124 corona infected people, 113 are residents of the port city and the remaining 11 are residents of different upazilas. So far, six persons have died in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department is ready to prevent Coronavirus infection. 

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
