One dies, 6 more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 28, 2025 (BSS) – One person died of corona virus and six more individuals have been tested positive   in the last 24 hours   in the city and district.

With these new cases, the total number of corona virus cases in Chattogram has reached 130 in the past 20 days,   Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS.

Dr. Jahangir Alam mentioned that corona virus tests are currently being conducted in 12 different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 77 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals.  

Out of the total 130 infected people, 119 are residents of the port city and the remaining 11 are residents of different upazilas. So far, seven individuals have died of the disease in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the health department is prepared to prevent Corona infection and urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
