One dengue patient dies, 383 hospitalized in last 24hrs

DHAKA, June 29, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died and 383 have been 
hospitalized across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 136 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division while 
55 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 48 in Dhaka division, 32 in Dhaka North 
City Corporation (DNCC), 28 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 41 in 
Khulna, 10 in Mymensingh and 33 were admitted to different hospitals in 
Rajshahi division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of 
Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 9,867 while 42 deaths from dengue, the 
mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the last 24 hours, 349 patients were discharged from different 
hospitals across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from 
the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
