15 more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - Fifteen more individuals out of 160 have 
tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours in the city and 
district.

With these new infections, the total number of Coronavirus cases in 
Chattogram rose to 158 in the past 22 days, said Dr. Jahangir Alam, civil 
surgeon of Chattogram.

He mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being conducted in 12 
different laboratories including the Chattogram Medical College and Hospital 
(CMCH) including RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 84 infected patients are undergoing treatment at different 
designated hospitals here.
 
Out of the total 158 corona infected people, 143 are residents of the port 
city and the remaining 15 are residents of different upazilas of the 
district. Seven people have, so far, died from the coronavirus in the 
district.

The Civil Surgeon said that the Health Department has taken all out measures 
to prevent the outbreak of corona infection here.

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks to this 
end.
