Hepatitis-B Vaccination Campaign’ begins at CVASU

CHATTOGRAM, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - The ‘Hepatitis-B Vaccination Campaign-2025’ began at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) this afternoon. 

CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman inaugurated the vaccination campaign programme. 

Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam, Proctor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Riyad, among others, were present at the event. 

The campaign is a joint initiative of the university’s Director (Student Welfare) Office, CVASU Medical Center and Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited.  

During the campaign, CVASU students will have the opportunity to undergo Hepatitis-B screening tests at a low cost. Additionally, students will receive the Hepatitis-B vaccine at a low cost. The first dose of Hepatitis-B was administered today, (Thursday). The second dose will be given on August 3, the third dose on September 3, and the booster dose on July 3, 2026.  

The vaccination will be administered at the CVASU Medical Center on the scheduled dates from 10 am to 5 pm, said CVASU Public Relations and Publication Department Senior Deputy Director Khalilur Rahman.
