DHAKA, July 8, 2025 (BSS) - Amid the prevailing conflict situation in Iran, the second group of Bangladeshi nationals wishing to return home arrived in Dhaka from Iran today.

A total of 32 Bangladeshis, who had expressed their desire for repatriation, travelled by road from Tehran to Mashhad before departing for Dhaka via Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, a foreign ministry's press release said here.

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Iran coordinated and facilitated the safe repatriation of these Bangladeshis, ensuring necessary support throughout the process, it added.

Earlier, the first group of 28 Bangladeshi nationals was repatriated as part of the government's ongoing efforts to bring back Bangladeshis residing in Iran who wish to return home in light of the evolving situation there.
