Volunteer registration initiative launched for wildlife, biodiversity conservation

DHAKA, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - To increase public participation in protecting nature and wildlife, the Forest Department has launched a volunteer registration program, which is being implemented by the Wildlife and Nature Conservation Circle, Dhaka.

Individuals who are already working or are interested in working in wildlife conservation and safety, habitat protection, wildlife rescue, and awareness activities are invited to register as volunteers by filling out the registration form.
 
The information collected through this form will be used for official purposes only, said a press release of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.


Registered volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to wildlife protection, prevention of illegal wildlife trade, restoration of natural habitats, and awareness-building among local communities. 

The Forest Department will provide necessary training to registered volunteers. They may also be considered for awards or recognition based on the information they provide or their special contribution to wildlife conservation.
