Four more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, July 8, 2025 (BSS) – The port city has reported four more Covid-19 cases out of 92 tests in the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new numbers, the total number of corona virus cases in Chattogram has reached 182 in the past 28 days, Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS.

Dr. Jahangir Alam mentioned that corona virus tests are currently being conducted in 10 different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 67 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals here. 

Out of the total 182 corona infected people, 165 are residents of the port city and the remaining 17 are residents of different upazilas. So far, seven Covid-19 related deaths have been reported in the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department has taken all out measurers to prevent the outbreak of corona infection. 

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
