Two dengue patient die, 330 hospitalized in 24hrs

DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - Two dengue patient died and 330 have been hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 86 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division while 54 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 48 in Dhaka division, 27 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 44 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 27 in Khulna, three in Mymensingh, 38 in Rajshahi and three were admitted to different hospitals in Rangpur division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 15,210, while 58 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the last 24 hours, 385 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
