375 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, July 15, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 375 dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 121 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division while 33 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 67 in Dhaka division, 28 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 39 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), three in Mymensingh and 55 in Rajshahi and three were admitted to different hospitals in Rangpur division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 15,585 while 58 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the last 24 hours, 348 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
