DHAKA, July 19, 2025 (BSS) - The local administration has extended the ongoing curfew in Gopalganj district for 10 more hours after 14 hours of break to maintain law and order and ensure safety and security of lives and properties.

"Curfew will be in force from 8:00pm tonight to 6:00am tomorrow," said a public order issued today by Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman.

Earlier in another order issued on Thursday night, the district administration relaxed the ongoing curfew in Gopalganj district for 14 hours from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm today.

The local administration stated that further decisions on the curfew would be taken after assessing the law and order situation in consultation with law enforcing agencies.

During the second phase, the curfew period was extended from 6pm on July 17 to 11 am on July 18. With a three-hour break (from 11 am to 2 pm on July 18), the curfew was re-imposed from 2 pm on July 18 until further orders.

Later, the curfew period was extended in the third phase from 8 pm on Friday to 6 am on Saturday.
