DHAKA, July 19, 2025 (BSS) - One dengue patient died and 394 have been hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.

"During the period, 161 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division while 38 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 58 in Dhaka division, 24 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 41 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), eight in Khulna , six in Mymensingh and 58 in Rajshahi division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 16,789 while 62 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the last 24 hours, 371 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
