Report in crimes against humanity case against Quader, 44 others on Oct 15

DHAKA, July 20, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today set October 15 for submitting probe report in a crimes against humanity case against 45 former ministers, advisers, secretaries and others over their role during the July-August Mass Uprising.

The three-member ICT-1, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, passed the order, allowing a time plea from the prosecution.

Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam took part in the hearing on the matter. 

Of the accused, former minister Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan, Dr Dipu Moni, Abdur Razzaque, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Amir Hossain Amu, Qamrul Islam, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Salman F Rahman, Kamal Ahmed Mazumder, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, and Jahangir Alam were produced before the court today and were present on the dock during the hearing. 

The ICT-1 on October 17 issued arrest warrant against 45, including Obaidul Quader.
