BRUR calls for compliance with ban on partisan student politics

RANGPUR, July 20, 2025 (BSS) – Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) today issued an urgent notice urging everyone to abide by the ban on partisan student politics on campus in the larger interest of maintaining a fair and conducive  educational environment.
 
“It is seen that despite the ban on partisan student politics in BRUR, some students are getting involved in political activities publicizing their activities through social media,” the notification said. 
 
This is clearly against the law framed by the university and a sign of disobeying administration’s orders. 
 
The order to ban partisan politics in BRUR states that-- all types of partisan politics will be banned on the campus. All types of partisan political activities using the name of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur will be prohibited.
 
“Therefore, all concerned are once again requested to respect the law framed by the university for larger interest of maintaining a fair educational environment,” the notification further said.
