KHULNA, July 25, 2025 (BSS) - Another COVID-19 patient has died at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), marking the second virus-related fatality at the facility this year.

Al Amin, 38, a resident of Kachua upazila in Bagerhat, passed away on Thursday night while receiving treatment in the hospital's COVID Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

He was admitted to the ICU at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday and was placed on artificial ventilation, said Dr. Khan Ahmed Ishtiaq, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) and COVID Unit Focal Person at KMCH.

Despite our best efforts, he succumbed to the illness later that night, Dr. Ishtiaq added.
