DMP files 1,724 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, July 28, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,724 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during July 27 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today.

The DMP sources said that 261 motor vehicles were dumped and 105 vehicles were towed during the campaign against traffic rules violation.

It said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
